Migration

How settlers automatically expand to new worlds within a system.

When a colony reaches its maximum population, settlers will automatically migrate to habitable planets within the same star system. This is one of the primary ways your empire grows.

Requirements

  • A colony must reach its maximum population capacity.
  • There must be a habitable, uncolonized planet in the same system.
  • Your empire must have a positive food surplus across all colonies.

How It Works

Once conditions are met, settlers depart automatically. Migration takes several turns depending on the target world. When settlers arrive, a new colony is founded with 1 population.

Tips

  • Ensure food production stays positive to avoid stalling migration.
  • More habitable worlds colonize faster.
  • Migration only works within a system — use colony ships for interstellar expansion.
